http://www.electricvehicleparade.com/storage/tesla_logo.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=14126993 07324The untraditional marketing for an automaker continues at Tesla Motors, as media folks try to gather every clue about the "D" announcement on Thursday.
Now, it looks as thought ReCode (http://recode.net/2014/10/07/telsa-ready-to-roll-out-an-all-wheel-drive-model-s/) has broke a story that Tesla Motors will unveil an all-wheel drive Model S.
As a driver of a Model S in the midwest, this news is somewhat underwhelming due to the groundforce created by the 7,000+ batteries currently in the Model S. The car is almost like an all-wheel drive car, coming from a previous Subaru owner.
As a fanboy and follower of Tesla Motors, however, I do see where it's going and the timing. This announcement will provide exposure to a new technology for electric cars, but well known for regular gas cars. It's been well known that Tesla Motors' Model X was to have all-wheel drive--an electric motor for the front and back, but this provides a great way to "normalize" the Model X particulars and boost demand for the Model S.
