Toyota is pushing the fuel-cell agenda in the U.S, specifically in California where the state government is looking to fund hydrogen refueling stations to support Toyota's efforts. A Bloomberg report says "Toyota’s fuel-cell car going on sale next year, initially in California, will cost about $50 to fill up for about 300 miles of range, Bob Carter, senior vice president at Toyota’s U.S. operations, said Aug. 12 at a JPMorgan Chase & Co. conference. The cost will eventually fall to about $30 based on Energy Department estimates, he said.
That's high in my opinion compared to an electric vehicle that can provide 300 miles at $6 - 8 dollars, based on 0.02 mile.
