My fellow electric car owner David Zygmont is on a road trip with his Tesla Motors Model S and enjoying every bit of his road trip from Chicago. He's not trying for a land-speed record, just enjoying the "road" and all of its unique character, such as the Eager Beaver car wash and remove some bugs from his faceplate, see below. I'll be talking with David in the middle of July about his recent trip and how he became an electric vehicle owner in my next podcast episode. Here's a little taste to the podcast, his first day of the road trip saw his car travel 629.3 miles with an energy use of 204.7 kWh and 325 Wh/mi.
Also, I saw via Bonnie Norman's twitter page (http://www.twitter.com/bonnienorman)that a road trip starting in Newark, DE will take off in approximately three weeks, see below.
